So after posting about how I'm a horrible housekeeper, I got a lot of unsolicited advice. But, you know what, it helped!

And I remembered that (DUH) I DO know stay-at-home-moms, but just don't know any who live in my county.

My sister-in-law Heather told me about and -- can I tell you -- it has totally inspired me.

I started cleaning up on Friday, as discussed in the original blog post. And I haven't stopped.

I gotta be honest though and admit that we really don't have that much clutter around, but we just have a lot of "stuff" -- Geoff's books on trout, the DVDs, my cookbooks, etc. My goal is to just have less of that stuff out on display. Mostly because that means less items that require dusting.

I have maintained a clean sink in the kitchen and bathrooms, I have been getting dressed (to lace-up shoes, and I HATE wearing shoes in the house, but I'm doing it) and brushing my teeth each morning.

The other day, Geoff said two things to me. The first was: "What are you doing with that?" (as I was carrying the vacuum cleaner upstairs) I replied: "I'm going to vacuum the upstairs" He said: "I just did that a couple of weeks ago" and I said "I know, I want to do it every week".

Afterwards, when I had done everything I wanted to do, Geoff looked at me and said "I think this is the cleanest our house has been in a really long time, if ever."

That made even the dusting worthwhile.

I still haven't meal planned, but -- you know -- baby steps ...
